Hockey Game

We had a fun night out with the whole family and went to a hockey game.  The kids got their noise makers, which Michael used as a light saber.  Then we enjoyed some hot dogs and nachos and watched some hockey.  I was surprised at how much the kids got into it.  TJ was very distraught that our home team lost, but it was still fun to cheer them on.

Orange Crush

Kaylee has completed her first year of Basketball!

She was lucky enough to have her dad as the coach and her little brother be an awesome team manager.  I don’t know if any of you have ever watched a third grade girls basketball game, but I have to give Troy some serious recognition for how positive and patient he was with all of these girls.

They had so much fun and I was so proud of Kaylee for how much she learned.  The girls started out the season not even knowing what half court meant, let alone traveling but after a few games they started to learn the concept of the game and some great fundamentals.  TJ got to practice with them every week and learned a lot as well.

I think my kids have found a new love.

Cross Country

Yesterday was the day of the big race!

The kids have been doing cross country.  Yes that’s right they chose to sign up for a sport that doesn’t have any purpose but to run.

I think they are crazy, but what are you going to do.

So yesterday all of the elementary schools in the district got together for the big race that finishes off the season.

And well, they ran.  They did great and had a lot of fun.
